Sisterhood Works is an empowerment program for women with migration backgrounds. Many of these women face obstacles in the Netherlands that often remain invisible, such as language barriers, social isolation, and psychological pressure. Alongside language classes, we focus early on the first steps toward work.

Women with migration backgrounds
Sisterhood Works
Sisterhood Works offers a safe and stimulating learning environment where women can work on both personal and professional growth.
The program connects to their daily realities and can be combined with motherhood and family life.
These women need greater self-confidence, a mental boost, and stronger practical skills.
Who is it for?
Sisterhood Works is specifically aimed at women with civic integration obligations. This includes women who:
- participate in the B1 or Z-route
- attend language classes
- receive social assistance benefits
Social entrepreneurship & SROI
With Sisterhood Works, SOCO gives concrete shape to Social Return on Investment (SROI). As a social enterprise, we directly strengthen the labor market position of women who are often overlooked. After completing the program, participants are better equipped to take an active and full role in society.
